Recording Your Podcast: A Components Overview

This presentation will provide insight into getting participants up and running with a set-up to record, edit, mix, and export their podcasts for upload.

Justin will provide suggestions for audio interfaces, microphones, headphones, and reference monitors, and show participants how to create an optimal set up that caters to their needs as start-up podcasters.

Additionally, participants will get an overview of Avid’s Pro Tools software, widely considered to be the audio industry’s highest standard for recording, editing, and mixing. Participants will be walked through the steps of properly recording their material, as well as techniques for editing, use of specialized plug-ins for noise reduction and mixing, and finally getting their finished podcast exported into a stereo file.
